YanTours Birthday Party GULBA

September 27, 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM 

About the event. The organizers of Ukrainian parties are celebrating the 6th anniversary of their flagship Ukrainian project, @yan_tours. The celebration will include not only dancing but also giveaways. Announced prizes include travel vouchers worth $100, $175, and $250 CAD for guests who arrive by 11:30 PM and come dressed in pressed clothing. DJs Sakaev and Choki will be on the turntables.

Women’s Business Club Meeting: “From Idea to Company: How to Choose the Optimal Business Structure”

About the event. The next Women’s Business Club meeting will be held off-site at the office of the Canadian law firm Shim Law. The topic of discussion will be how to choose the best business structure. The participants will explore the differences between Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, and Corporation and discuss which structure is ideal for those planning to start a business in Alberta.


The speaker is Serhiy Holovko, a legal assistant at Shim Law with over 15 years of experience as a lawyer in Ukraine and Europe.

Concert by Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America "Everything Will Be Ukraine"

Septebmer 28, 7:00 PM

About thr event. As part of their concert tour, the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America will perform in Calgary. The musicians have developed a new program, *Everything Will Be Ukraine!*, featuring historical Cossack songs, songs of the Sich Riflemen, and the Ukrainian Partisan Army, as well as several new compositions, two of which were written after Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.

Documentary Screening "I Believe, I Wait, I Pray"

September 29, 3:00 PM

About the event. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress is hosting a screening of the documentary *I Believe, I Wait, I Pray*, directed by Kateryna Strelchenko in 2019. The film addresses two painful topics: the stories of soldiers and civilians who endured brutal and inhumane treatment in occupied territories and the search for missing persons in the Donbas. The documentary sheds light on the enemy’s actions and inactions, aimed solely at instilling fear and despair. The film will be shown in Ukrainian with English subtitles.

Evening of Ukrainian Music

September 29, 6:30 PM

About the event. Volunteers raising funds to purchase drones for Ukrainian defenders are organizing an evening of Ukrainian music. This will be the 11th fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward purchasing new drones for the military.
